Rather than &quot;signs that it&#039;s time to retire&quot; it may be more accurate that these are &quot;items to consider before retiring&quot;, though the first 3 could fit either way. 2) In the section on SS, I think it&#039;s important to be clear that working until age 70 is not at all necessary to maximize your SS payment. Not taking SS until age 70 is the important decision to be made if you want to maximize SS and can be made completely independent of the age you retire. (Depends, of course, on whether or not the additional years of employment will be included in the 35  years of earnings that is used to calculate SS amount.)]]></description>
