Excellent post. Your timing could not of been better for me as I need to make some decisions on this and have been scared of bonds. But I think I will just set the asset allocation and let the market take its course. I have heard some say that they'd rather invest in dividend paying stocks and use the dividends instead of the bonds. But yet in a bear market those dividend paying stocks can take a real hammer job and you could lose bigger.

In reply to <a href="https://intentionalretirement.com/2014/08/are-bonds-safe-ticking-time-bomb/#comment-288">coaching miami</a>.

Sorry about that! I'm not sure if there's a way that I can go in and alter that once it's been checked or not. Let me look into it. I'm getting ready to approve a few new comments on there so you'll probably get the updates, but my guess is that there won't be any more comments on that post once I draw the winner tomorrow, so hopefully the problem will kind of correct itself (since there won't be any new comments).

When I initially commented I appear to have clicked on the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and now each time a comment is
added I recieve 4 emails with the same comment. Perhaps there is a means you
can remove me from that service? Cheers!
